Christmas Shopping

There are two things that make me very scared these days:
1. people asking me how much I've spent on something
2. the spend tracker on my banking app.

RIP wallet.

The Female Pikachu

Special thanks to: My Dad...the only one in the world who thinks Pikachu is ugly.

And then I learned that the only thing different about the female Pikachu was the heart-shaped tail...

Well, that was anti-climatic.

Limited Edition - Don't Touch!

I bought limited edition shoes with the original intention of actually wearing them. But once I got them they were so pretty...I didn't have the heart to get them dirty.  What should I do?  Am I really going to just store them away forever...?  😟

The Smell of Barbeque

My parents cooked steak today...
It was raining, so they didn't have any windows open whilst cooking...
The whole house smelt like steak...

I could still smell it the whole time I made this comic. *Sigh* 😒  Will it ever go away...

R U OK?

Today is "R U OK?" Day.  Mental illnesses are still an illness and we should continue to raise awareness.

I've had minor bouts of depression coming back this year. Last year was a great year, but 2018 has been a bit more tough. Strangely though, I was originally planning to do a very sad and serious comic this week, but it ended up like this - a lot more positive. I guess it was comforting to know that I still have little specs of positivism left in me!

I hope everyone else out there is feeling OK today and don't forget that you are never alone. 😊

Father's Day 2018

It's Father's Day in Australia again!

Happy Father's Day, Dad!

I can't buy you a car, but I hope you still enjoy the day! 😄

Hospitals

Apologies for the missing comic last week!
Things just happen in life that stop us in our tracks - but all is good now and mtbunnies is back!

On another note - nurses are definitely angels sent from heaven.  There is no way in the world normal humans can do that kind of work and be so calm at the same time - they are the most selfless people ever!  I have so much respect for them!!!

What are you doing to me 2018...

2018 is very much reminding me of 2016 where not only were there bad things happening in the world, but a lot of things just didn't go right. 😒

How is everyone else's year going? We're already past midway!

Hot-desking again (Part 1): Starting wars at work

I made a comic a while back about the joys of hot-desking: http://www.mtbunnies.com/2017/04/the-joys-of-hot-desking.html
This bunny series is going to be an extension to that! Enjoy!! ^^

Please note that all of these are true stories...

A Ball and a Bat

I'll make it fun and not leave the answer here. Though some of you may have already heard of this quiz before.

Shamefully, I did get the answer wrong upon the first thought (I guessed 10 cents, not 50 cents... I have no idea how someone else got 50 cents.. LOL)

"Coughing it out is good" they said...

It's flu season again, please take care of yourselves out there!!

On another note, they should have taste tests for cough medicine before you buy - some of them taste lethal! >.<

In the world of K-pop

Believe it or not, the significance of CDs still exists today. Entertainment companies in Korea are making big money from it.

When we say 4 versions of a CD is released, it doesn't mean 4 different CDs with different songs on them - it is actually the same CD with the same songs, but with 4 different versions of packaging.

Yep, you heard it right - different packaging!

K-pop fans these days are not buying CDs for the sake of keeping the CD. They are spending money for the different photobooks and photocards that come with it. Collectors are targeted. Some companies are even smart enough to include limited edition photocards which are issued at random, meaning the buying of CDs then turns into some kind of lottery event - if your CD contains the limited edition photocard, you've hit the jackpot!!  Needless to say, there's a big aftermarket for this stuff as well - a limited edition photocard like that could sell for well over $100 AUD. And if your CD itself goes out of print, up goes the price again.

Well, ridiculous or not, there are K-pop groups like BTS breaking records continuously with just CD preorders alone!

mtbunnies © 200th!!!

Wow, mtbunnies has reached 200 comics! That's a lot of bunnies!!

I sincerely hope you enjoy reading these as much as I love making them~!

==================================

As usual for every milestone, here's another quick Q&A session to celebrate!

Q: What is the relationship between Koya and Hana exactly? They seem to live together but are not related nor married, so what's the deal?
A: Umm, it's complicated. 🤣

Q: Why doesn't Theo appear as often?
A: Theo is a little more time-consuming to draw due to his unique physical appearance. I do try to keep him involved though!

Q: Why are all the bunnies so fat?
A: Because they are cute. ❤

Q: Do you ever run out of ideas?
A: ALWAYS. Please send me your suggestions. I beg you!!! 🤣
And if you did send me an idea but I haven't drawn it, then please accept my deepest apologies. It's because I'm either unfamiliar with the topic to be able to draw it (e.g. cricket), or it's because it would require a huge amount of detail, which I have no time for...😢

If you have any other questions you'd like to ask, please leave them in the comments below~!

From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT!!!

My Dad's way of parenting

My Dad rarely scolded me when I was young. Instead, he would use tactics like these. I wouldn't call them 'scare' tactics, because he didn't really say them to scare me... it was more like he was putting some facts out there for me think about, so that I would make a conscious decision about things.  I've always believed in his way of talking to younger people - scolding them off only damages your relationship with them.

They really can think for themselves if you give them the chance.

Why do you sleep so late?

Happy 2018!  Hope you've all had a nice start to the year already.

Unfortunately holidays always go by too quickly and it's time to go back to work again.  >.<

Wishing everyone a successful year ahead!!
