Once in a while, you'll come across some terms that you've never heard of before (like when I learned about the bidet).
Other times, you'll swear you've heard it before, but have no idea what it is. "Petticoat" was one of those moments.
A petticoat is basically an underskirt that can be used to create that puffy / spread out look for a dress or skirt.
I don't know about you, but when we first heard the word "petticoat" we thought it was a small jacket (i.e. a "petite" coat)... hey, that makes more sense, right??
